The Warriors have released Blake Green to Newcastle immediately, ending the months of speculation about the playmakers future.
Just a day after caretaker coach Todd Payten knocked back the job fulltime, the Warriors let Green leave just before the August 3 transfer window shut. The New Zealand franchise had indicated Greens contract wouldnt be renewed at the end of the season amid suggestions the club was keen to limit the number of players managed by his agent, Isaac Moses.
