Western Sydney Wanderers scored a 1-0 win over Wellington Phoenix on Friday night to keep their A-League finals hopes alive, but there were serious concerns for the wellbeing of striker Nicolai Muller after a sickening collision left him out cold.
In the 27th minute, Muller went up for a header in midfield with Phoenix’s Louis Fenton. Muller came off second best in the contest, with Fenton directly hitting the 32-year-old’s head and concussing him before he fell to the ground.
