There are now three schools that participate in the walk to school program with local police.

‘Buderim Lions Walk to School Wednesdays’ at Buderim Mountain State School commenced in 2007.
The program at Buderim is now institutionalised in the school, with the children looking forward to walking to school with Buderim Lions, Volunteers in Policing (ViPs) and local police.

The program has been expanded to include Chancellor Park, Siena and Mooloolaba State Schools.
After a break due to COVID-19, the walk to school program has now resumed with other members of the community joining in the fun.
