WA Regional Command’s Port Harbour Coastal Class V1 vessel Rottnest Island has just completed a three-day patrol to the spectacular Abrolhos Islands off the mid-west coast.
The Abrolhos group consists of 122
Its rich history includes the shipwreck of the Dutch East India Company’s Batavia in 1629 and the bloody mutiny and massacre that followed.
More recently, the Abrolhos’s treacherous reefs claimed the yacht Zero which was found to be carrying approximately 900 kilograms of cocaine and ecstasy.
