WA Police Union President Harry Arnott ordered to stand aside amid police probe
WA Police Union president Harry Arnott has been stood aside from his position after a police investigation was launched into him.
In a statement, the union said its board of directors “was recently made aware of an active WA Police Force managerial investigation” into Mr Arnott.
At a meeting held yesterday without Mr Arnott, the board unanimously voted to direct him to take leave, effective immediately.
“The Board did not take this decision lightly and believes it was necessary, appropriate and in the best interests of the Union,” the statement said.
It said no further details would be provided “as this investigation is ongoing.”
