WA moves to ban coronavirus hotel quarantine security guards from taking second jobs
The WA Government has moved to restrict hotel quarantine security staff to one job only, a week after the state was plunged into lockdown when a guard tested positive to COVID-19.

- The second job ban will take effect in the “coming days”, the Premier says
- Security staff are expected to receive a bonus payment as compensation
- WA’s hotel quarantine workers could also be tested on their days off
WA Premier Mark McGowan said letters stipulating the change in contract had gone out to the four security companies that provided staff to the nine quarantine hotels.
He said one company had already returned the signed contact and another was expected to do the same today.
