WA lockdown avoided for another day as Premier Mark McGowan rolls up his sleeve for AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

Perth will continue to avoid another lockdown after no new community cases of COVID-19 were recorded overnight.
WA Premier Mark McGowan made the announcement after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine today as over 50s became eligible for the jab.
“It is very important to ensure we get as many West Australians vaccinated as possible,” he said.
Mr McGowan said there were three new cases of COVID-19 detected in overseas travellers but they were all in quarantine.
He said 6,135 COVID-19 tests were carried out yesterday.
More to come.
