WA election: Zak Kirkup declares Liberal Party can win and pledges surplus if elected

Western Australian Opposition Leader Zak Kirkup has insisted the March election remains winnable for the Liberals, rubbishing fears his party is headed for an electoral disaster.

And, in an interview with the ABC to mark the official start of the campaign on Wednesday, Mr Kirkup also hit back at claims he was making unaffordable spending promises, insisting he could present a “bold vision” while keeping the state budget in surplus.
