Western Australia has again recorded no new cases of coronavirus, on the third full day of a five-day lockdown.

“That’s three days in a row of zero new cases,” WA Premier Mark McGowan said.

“Can I say from the outset this is a very encouraging result, especially considering we have been testing at record levels, but we are not out of the woods yet.”

Mr McGowan said WA had experienced another “incredible” day of testing, with 12,326 tests conducted yesterday.

“That is a very good number of tests but we want to keep the number of tests at a high level,” he said.
