Russian Camelot won the Group I South Australian Derby (2500m) at his last start on May 9 but looked solid winning a jumpout on the Flemington course proper on Monday.
The Danny O’Brien-trained Russian Camelot strode freely up front in the 1200m jumpout, holding his form through the line strongly.
