An Australian recall has been issued on 25,000 cars, warning that the defect could result in an ‘increased risk of serious injury or death’.

Volvo Australia has issued an urgent recall of seven models, affecting just under 25,000 cars.
The recall is due to a seat belt defect may result in the safety harness not restraining passengers adequately.
Authorities add that the fault could result in an increased risk of serious injury or death in the event of an accident.
The 24,977 affected vehicles were available nationally from Jun 1, 2006, to August 1, 2019.
The models affected by the recall are:
