Volunteers unearth incredible stories buried in outback Western Australia’s unmarked graves

A group of dedicated volunteers is reconnecting the history of more than a thousand unmarked graves in Western Australia’s outback with the identities of those who lay within them.

Led by two school friends now in their 70s, the growing band of volunteers who make up Outback Grave Markers have researched and marked graves at more than 170 locations across the state.
