Volunteers and Council officers have safely moved 125 loggerhead turtle eggs from Mooloolaba to Buddina.
The delicate rescue mission was to give the hatchlings the best chance at life after being laid in a
precarious position.“We’re relocating this nest via a vehicle where we have a much darker natural scenario so those hatchlings can naturally orientate and we can have a much higher success at getting them out to the ocean.” – Conservation Officer, Kate Hofmeister.
