Virus cases spike in China ahead of WHO visit

China has recorded his first coronavirus death in months amid a surge in cases just as a WHO team is arriving to investigate the origins of the pandemic.

The surge in coronavirus cases is in the country’s frozen northeast.
China on Thursday also reported its first new death attributed to COVID-19 in months, raising the toll to 4635 among 87,844 cases.
