Virat Kohli appeared to channel English great WG Grace by refusing to believe he had been clean bowled in the second Test between India and England in Chennai.
The Indian skipper was bowled through the gate for a fifth-ball duck by a sharply-turning delivery by returning off spinner Moeen Ali — playing his first Test since the 2019 Ashes — leaving the 15,000 supporters in the MA Chidambaram stadium stunned into silence.
The delivery, which drifted away to the offside before sharply turning back, appeared to sufficiently stun Kohli as well as, instead of walking back to the dressing rooms, he walked down to his partner, Rohit Sharma.
