The revelations caused the federal government’s workplace health and safety agency, Comcare, to open a new investigation into Cleanaway, while the Australian Securities and Investments Commission is also examining the company’s disclosure of an independent investigation into Mr Bansal in 2020. The company docked Mr Bansal’s pay 25 per cent at the end of financial 2020, but failed to alert shareholders the reduction stemmed from, in part, a probe into allegations of bullying.
