Victoria’s COVID lockdown restrictions: From masks, gatherings and shopping, to hospitals, school and work

From midnight on Friday, the state of Victoria will enter a snap five-day lockdown where residents may only leave home for four reasons: buying essential supplies, care and caregiving, exercising and essential work.
Here’s a breakdown of the restrictions when they come into effect.
Restricted: Gatherings
No visitors are permitted and indoor and outdoor gatherings are banned.

Masks or face coverings must be worn at all times, except in the home or if an exemption applies.
