Victoria’s border restrictions remain in place for Christmas as as authorities monitor Melbourne COVID-19 case
Victorian authorities have ruled out reopening the border to residents of Greater Sydney and the NSW Central Coast before Christmas.

Victoria’s testing commander Jeroen Weimar said the border restrictions imposed in response to Sydney’s northern beaches cluster were being reviewed daily.
“I’m happy to talk to you every day about whether we’ll do it that day,” he said when asked about the border reopening. “But we’re not going to do it tomorrow.”
