Victorian Government announces support package for businesses hit by coronavirus lockdown
More than 50,000 Victorian businesses will be eligible for cash payments as part of a new package targeting industries that were hit by the recent “circuit breaker” lockdown.

- Eligible small businesses and sole traders could receive $2,000 payments under one program
- The popular travel voucher program will also be expanded to include metropolitan Melbourne
- Victoria’s peak business body has welcomed the support, but an events group says more is needed
