Victorian authorities investigating how ‘first class’ hotel quarantine worker contracted COVID-19 – ABC News
The state’s Health Minister, Martin Foley, said the 26-year-old had “followed every piece of protocol”.
Victoria’s Health Minister, Martin Foley, said the Health Department’s infection prevention and control team were investigating how an Australian Open hotel quarantine worker contracted coronavirus.
Speaking to Virginia Trioli on Mornings, Mr Foley told described the 26-year-old man from Noble Park as a “first class worker”.
“He has followed every piece of protocol,” Mr Foley said.
“What this speaks to is the rapidly evolving, changing nature of this virus.”
