Victoria to close border to all of Sydney and NSW Central Coast from midnight due to COVID-19 cluster

Victoria will declare all of Sydney and the NSW Central Coast a COVID-19 “red zone” from midnight tonight, meaning people who live in or have visited those areas since December 11 will not be allowed to enter the state.
Anyone who does travel to Victoria from those areas will have to complete 14 days mandatory hotel quarantine.
Victorian residents who recently visited or are currently in Greater Sydney or the Central Coast will have until 11:59pm tomorrow to return home.
“This is a difficult decision, but it is the appropriate decision,” Premier Daniel Andrews said.
The tighter border restrictions come after New South Wales today recorded 30 new cases of coronavirus.
