Victoria records 1,061 new local COVID-19 cases and four deaths

Victoria has recorded 1,061 new local COVID-19 cases and four deaths as tighter border rules have come into force to respond to the new Omicron variant. 

There are now 11,331 active cases of the virus in Victoria, and 503 people have died during the state’s current Delta outbreak.
