Victoria bleeding jobs before hard lockdown – The Australian Financial Review
Victoria had started to see a recovery in jobs but that has been dealt a blow in July and could face even further losses.

“Payroll jobs fell by 1.5 per cent in Victoria through July ahead of the introduction of stage four COVID-19 restrictions in the state.”
The total wage bill has fallen 5 per cent in Victoria since March, compared with the 4.8 per cent fall nationally.
The latest payroll numbers come ahead of official wage growth figures on Wednesday and unemployment figures on Thursday.
