Valentine’s Day warning about ‘love-bombing’ romance scams

There is a new twist in the years-old romance scam with the consumer watchdog warning people of “love bombing” and being lured into fake investment schemes.
The ACCC has warned that romance scams have evolved
With Valentines Day approaching, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said the young were increasingly the target of the scams which stole at least $37 million from Australians last year.
