US Open results: 16yo giant killer exits early; First Aussie into second round – Fox Sports
The U.S. Open this year may be unlike any other with top players from both the men’s and women’s single pulling out, but there has still been plenty of highlights.

It was a poor opening day for Australias women, with FIVE guns – Ajla Tomljanovic, Astra Sharma, Arina Rodionova, Maddison Inglis and Lizette Cabrera – all knocked out in their opening round matches.
The first Australian has already progressed through to the second round while a seesawing thriller saw No. 9 Diego Schwartzman upset in a stunning result.
Coco Gauff also suffered a disappointing early exit but still showed plenty of promise given her age.
