US daily deaths seen peaking in early January – The Australian Financial Review
In the waning days of President Donald Trump’s presidency, the number of American dying each day from the coronavirus could surpass 3700.
Helping to check the death toll is both vaccinations and mask use, the institute said.
“Vaccination rollout is expected to save 34,500 lives by April 1,” it said.
Late Friday evening in Washington, the US Food and Drug Administration said it had approved a vaccine developed by Moderna for emergency use. It earlier approved use of one developed by Pfizer and BioNTech; people began receiving this vaccine earlier this week.
