A veterinary clinic on Sydneys northern beaches has warned pet owners to get their dogs vaccinated against leptospirosis after a canine patient tragically died of the disease.
Collaroy Plateau Veterinary Hospital issued an urgent alert after a dog died at a specialist centre on Thursday.
Vets attempted to treat a local dog but it succumbed to leptospirosis, a bacterial disease that is sometimes deadly for humans and animals, according to NSW Health.
