UQ vaccine safe, effective, and can be mass produced, researchers say – Brisbane Times
UQ researchers have presented the final results of animal trials to an international scientific forum, with human trials already under way.
“All the results show that its safe and likely to provide protection against both the viral infection and the symptoms of disease.”
The UQ vaccine candidate has already progressed to phase one human trials, however the speed at which it is being developed means that the researchers are just now getting to officially present their initial findings.
