Police investigating the alleged homicide of a 43-year-old Crestmead man at Maryborough earlier this month, have charged a second man with murder.
At 2.45pm yesterday, Mackay police located a 38-year-old Island Plantation man at the Mackay Harbour. The man attempted to flee from officers however was arrested and taken into custody.
The 38-year-old man was transported to Mackay Watchhouse and has now been charged with one count each of murder, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and wilful damage.
He is expected to appear at Mackay Magistrates Court today.
