Queensland is set for an unseasonal drenching this week as a high pressure system is expected to dump falls of up to 60mm over parts of the state.
Mackay and Gladstone will bear the brunt, as an upper trough coming across the state will bring thick cloud cover combining with a trough coming along the coastline.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Shane Kennedy said most coastal parts of the state would see showers or rainfall leading into the weekend, warning Queenslanders to take their umbrellas…
