‘Unrealistic’ Victorian roadmap could see Geelong refinery shut: Viva boss – The Age
The head of Viva Energy has criticised the state’s plan for exiting lockdown restrictions, warning it may be forced to shut its Geelong oil refinery if rules aren’t eased by November.

“They’ve provided a road map, but it’s a long road map, and there are some high hurdles that we have to clear to get there,” he said.
“For us to reopen we have to have five cases per day for two weeks, well NSW doesn’t have that today and yet they have a fully functioning state. So why do our hurdles have to be so high?”
“I don’t pretend to understand all the challenges and the decisions, but we all need a pathway out of this that we can be confident in and that seems realistic and achievable….
