Unpaid quarantine bills cost state $13m
Queensland Health data obtained by The Courier-Mail has revealed 14,422 invoices have been issued for hotel quarantine payments as of January 1 this year. Of those, about 3605, are yet to be paid – leaving the state up to $13m out of pocket. A fortnight stint in hotel quarantine costs $2800 for one adult, $3710 for two adults and $4620 for a family.
