Unemployment rate surges to 5.2 per cent, despite lockdowns ending
The unemployment rate has surged in October as more people looked for work ahead of lockdowns easing.
Last month the national jobless rate rose from 4.6 per cent in September to 5.2 per cent.
The Bureau of Statistics says 40,000 jobs were lost over the month.
