UN negotiating with China on unfettered access to Xinjiang

The United Nations is holding “serious negotiations” with China on gaining unfettered access to the Xinjiang region to verify reports that Muslim Uyghurs are being persecuted, UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres has said.
