The umpires were forced to disinfect the ball during the fourth day of the second cricket Test between England and the West Indies, after saliva was accidentally used to shine it.
Just before lunch England’s Dom Sibley revealed he’d accidentally breached the ICC’s strict new playing conditions, with umpire Michael Gough using a disinfectant wipe to clean the ball.
