An “ultra-rare” purple-pink diamond sold for a record 24.4 million Swiss francs ($36.7m) at an auction in Geneva on Wednesday evening (Thursday morning AEDT).
The 14.83-carat stone, dubbed “The Spirit of the Rose,” is now the most expensive purple-pink diamond ever to sell at auction, according to Sotheby’s.
