An Englishman who was in a coma for six weeks after contracting COVID-19 woke up with a completely different accent.
Wayne Oldham, 46, a salesman from Aintree near Liverpool, was admitted to hospital on October 5.
He was placed on a ventilator and put into a medically induced coma.
His wife, Louise, told the Liverpool Echo she was terrified her husband was going to die, leaving her and their two children – Harvey, 19, and Freya, 15 – behind.
