Ubisoft says PS5 isn’t backwards compatible with PS3, PS2, PS1 – Eurogamer.net

Over the weekend, Ubisoft published and then deleted a claim that the PS5 will not offer backwards compatibility with older PlayStation consoles.
A post on Ubisoft’s support site stated PS5 backwards compatibility would be available for “supported PlayStation 4 titles”, but would “not be possible for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 or PlayStation games”.
Sony is yet to discuss whether it might offer some form of backwards compatibility for older PlayStation consoles, so Ubisoft’s statement raise…
