Typhoon Fung-wong leaves eight dead and 1.4 million displaced in Philippines

Typhoon Fung-wong blew out of the north-western Philippines on Monday, killing at least eight people and displacing more than 1.4 million others.

The typhoon, which was forecast to head toward Taiwan, triggered flash flooding, landslides, and knocked out power to entire provinces.
