Two-year-old boy dies after contracting meningococcal in Mackay – 7NEWS.com.au
“If a person becomes sick with these symptoms you should take them to a doctor immediately.”

A toddler diagnosed with meningococcal sepsis in central Queensland has died.
The two-year-old boys death has been met with an outpouring of grief in his city of Mackay, with a GoFundMe page raising more than $14,000 to pay for his funeral.
The fundraiser has stopped taking donations after the effort gained more momentum than I ever imagined, and we have more than achieved our goal, an organiser said.
The little boys diagnosis this week prompted a health warning for residents of Mackay.
