Two teens in hospital after house fire north of Brisbane
Early details suggested the blaze could have been caused by the home’s solar panel system, she said. Investigations are ongoing.
Neighbours rushed to help, with some turning hoses on the home until fire crews arrived.
One, Darren Black, told reporters at the scene a metre-high flame had emerged from the garage and “took over the rest of the house”.
QFES’ Gil Reddix said smoke alarms had alerted those inside to the flames and allowed them to get out in time.
“The house is extensively damaged,” he added.
