Mr Leulusoo was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he later died.

Detective Superintendent Tony Fleming, the Regional Crime and Intelligence Co-ordinator for Brisbane, said the investigation was ongoing and continued to appeal for public information.

“Detectives and specialist police have worked tirelessly since the alleged murder and it is through their efforts that the two teenagers are now facing court,” he said.

On Friday, Detective Superintendent Fleming said there had been early and “loose” conversations about potential gang involvement but this was yet to be determined.
