Second Blue Diamond Stakes acceptor fails pre-race vet inspection
Trainer Lloyd Kennewell has lost one of his two starters from Saturday’s $1.5m G1 Neds Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) after Marine One was scratched from the two-year-old feature on raceday morning.
Racing Victoria’s veterinary team found Marine One to be lame in the near foreleg on Thursday morning along with Enthaar and Dosh. Whilst Enthaar was cleared on Friday, Dosh was withdrawn by trainer Grahame Begg and Marine One reduced the field to 14 starters when being withdrawn on Saturday morning.
