Two people in hotel quarantine in Canberra confirmed to be active cases of COVID-19

The ACT has recorded two new cases of COVID-19 among people in hotel quarantine who recently arrived from Singapore.

- Health authorities have confirmed the two men are in the early stage of their infections
- ACT Health says they will conduct additional testing of the other 144 passengers of the plane which arrived from Singapore
- There are currently 195 people in quarantine in Canberra
ACT Health said yesterday that two travellers had recorded weak positive test results for the virus, but today they were confirmed as active cases.
It is the first time the ACT has had an active case in hotel quarantine.
