Two motorcyclists killed in separate Queensland crashes
Two motorcyclists died in separate crashes on Queensland roads overnight.
A teenage rider died in hospital after crashing into a tree in the Townsville suburb of Douglas early on Sunday morning.
At 1.15am, police allege the 19-year-old motorcyclist and his pillion rider were travelling along Riverside Boulevard when the bike veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
Both the motorcyclist and pillion rider were taken to Townsville Hospital.
“Later this morning, around 4am, the motorcyclist, a 19-year-old Cranbrook man, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital,” a police statement said.
