Two dozen midwives at Townsville University Hospital have babies this year

As far as mothers’ groups go, this could be one of Australia’s biggest in a single workplace.
A staggering 24 woman in the midwifery unit of Townsville University Hospital have had babies this year.
And in early 2021, another three of their colleagues are set to give birth.
“It’s been a really lovely year for our midwives,” Rebecca Lewis, who manages the unit of 124 midwives, told 7NEWS.
