Two Crown Resorts directors resign after damning report halts opening of new Sydney casino
Crown Resorts Limited has announced that directors Guy Jalland and Michael Johnston have resigned.
The announcement comes after a scathing report was released yesterday, which found Crown was not suitable to hold the licence for Sydney’s second casino at Barangaroo.
NSW’s Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA) chair Philip Crawford said Crown would need significant cultural changes if it was to hold the licence in the future.
“One of you had a headline in your report last night about Crown needing to blow itself up to save itself, that’s probably pretty close to the mark,” he said.
He praised the media for bringing allegations about Crown to light.
