Two cars burst into flames on Bribie Island bridge

Two cars have crashed and caught fire on Bribie Island Bridge, triggering the closure of the bridge in both directions.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to the head-on crash at Bellara just after 12.30pm on Monday.
“The first crew was on scene at 12.40pm and saw a large volume of smoke issuing from the vehicles,” a QFES spokeswoman said.
“The fires in both vehicles were out by 12.50pm.”
