Twelve Extinction Rebellion protesters charged after Brisbane CBD protest

Police have charged twelve protesters after Extinction Rebellion activists blocked roads across Brisbane’s CBD during peak hour for the ninth time in three months.
About 150 protesters flooded the city centre and blocked roads from 4pm AEST on Thursday to call for urgent action against climate change.
Police said they intercepted a hired truck driving along Elizabeth Street and seized protest materials inside.
