Turbine parts flew hundreds of metres in Qld power station disaster – The Australian Financial Review
Investigators are looking at a turbine malfunction and human error as possible causes of the fire at Callide C power station that caused a statewide blackout.

When this happens, people normally die because of the catastrophic failure of one of the units, one union official told The Australian Financial Review.
A town hall meeting was held in Biloela, south-west of Gladstone, on Thursday, with union representatives hoping to get to the Callide C site on Friday.
People were in a meeting … on a video hook-up and then you see them looking around and the building shakes and then it goes black.
